This makes me think of my Grandpa...and I hope other veterans take advantage of this bc it is so crucial especially for those who have served our country in time of war. I felt like focusing on the positive...bc I am sick of the negativity during a campaign.

Getting ridiculous...
More and more lies! I feel like the Grinch but instead of "noise" it is "All the lies! Lies! Lies! Lies!" And of course the Who's are the Republican candidates...but that is as far as I will take that analogy bc I love Dr. Seuss and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and I do not want to spoil that. I do not however, love that Ryan refuses to say that he was wrong in his statements on GM and others. Is that a clue into his character? I don't like it! Nobody should like it! Romney should be disappointed in Ryan as well! I mean they are blatant lies! Blatant "fabrications" to make the American people either believe him....or in my case become offended by Ryan basically calling us all idiots bc we would be dumb enough to fall for whatever he says in a speech bc it is well written. Nothing comes off more powerful or poignant than the truth. Why don't they tap into that!? Say something you plan on doing as President or VP! Make substantial claims as how to climb out of the deficit! Don't just throw around nonsensical BS like a monkey in a cage at the zoo! You discredit yourselves, you shame your political party and you embarrass the American people. Shame on you Ryan.
One can claim that he is not the head haunch-o...he is not the President....well, I hear ya there. And thank goodness for that! But look how well it turned out for McCain to choose a radical running mate! Granted Ryan is not as hilarious as Palin and will not make for the best comedy to date on Saturday Night Live bc of the awesome impersonations done by Tina Fey...oh, I miss that! (Gonna youtube that next). But he is an extremist in most cases of politics....he loves feeding into the unglued Republicans and their ridiculous need for bullying and escalating the lies to new heights. Maybe that is more embarrassing than an accent and rifle toting Mayor from Alaska. Embarrassing...but unfortunately not funny. . .
But this is...http://youtu.be/IE-OCDexYrU
Ah, memories! For this I am sorry! Republican candidates everywhere, I failed to acknowledge the ridiculousness which has created so much joy. So I say thank you Republican candidates...you have created joy in the world...though indirectly...nontheless we can credit no one else for....Palin.
And in keeping with the theme of my earlier analogy: Cue the music for Cindy Lou Who's "Where are you Christmas--music only.
"Where are you Palin? Why can't I find you? Why have you gone away? The channel is changing. I am no longer engaging..there is no humor aaaaaannnymooooore. The convention is here...but there is no SNL. The Convention is heeere but there is no SNL!"
I miss you Sarah Palin (impersonated by Tina Fey)! But you are not forgotten! I just hope this years convention is easily forgotten...by everyone including myself.

Mitt the Moron...????
Really? He decided to stoop down to that seriously ridiculous "birther" comment? I honestly don't know if he is just that dumb, if his campaign strategists are just that dumb, or if he or both said this comment and meant it to be racially charged: "They know this is the place I was born." Why would I "know" that he is born here bc he is white?! Or bc I am smart enough to know that you cannot enter a race for Presidential office if you did not verify your birth certificate. The only reason Barrack Obama's birth certificate was ever questioned was bc of his name and his race! And bc Republicans are that dumb! (At least the ones who bring this up.)
I am so done talking about this...I think I will have a cup of hot chocolate from my new mug...

Mitt the Mormon
I have to say that it is kinda fun having a Mormon in the political realm of being famous...it sheds a little different light on (my) religion and I think it is a good thing....mostly. :) The NBC broadcast tonight, though at times I was cringing and upset about some footage they showed, I think it was mostly positive and interesting. I think that people will never understand certain aspects of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints until their hearts are open and they ask Heavenly Father themselves if it is true. So I was not as offended as others might be about some of the topics shared on that NBC news program. I have to say that it was exciting to see that they dedicated their nightly news to "Mormons in America."
As a matter of fact I think I might vote for Mitt Romney. BC I think it is time for a Mormon President...I am sold!
;) Yeah right.
Here is a follow up article on the NBC "Mormon in America" show that I referenced in this post. It gives a little more insight into some of the Mormon people highlighted in the piece. I do agree with them in that even though I do NOT care what Romney does on Sunday...bc I know what he does...but I also don't care what Obama does on Sunday...I care how they run the United States of America....but I can set my political beliefs aside and acknowledge that the attention on the church can be a positive thing if the LDS people are willing to open up and not be easily offended by other people and their questions or misunderstandings of us and our religion. It can be a great "Mormon Moment," as the man in that article states. I embrace that part of the influence of Mitt Romney. :)

What the what!?
The Mitt Romney campaign was behind a bill that supports banning all abortions nationwide even for instances of rape and incest...so disappointed Romney! But unfortunately not surprised...he is just doing what the Republican bullies want him to do in order to win the election....fat chance...when you try to distance yourself from the Missouri Republican who made those outlandish statements I posted about earlier and then you support and even are said to have been the head of a bill banning women's rights on abortions nationwide...EVEN in the case of rape! I am sorry but if I was raped today and got pregnant from it, I would want the right to decide what to do. If my daughter was raped at a young age and impregnated I would want her to have that choice...bc what a horrific thing to not only be raped but then have that choice to be made about what to do with the rapist's baby! Unimaginable to me. And yet it happens. I do not want pig headed men who will claim that my rape was not "legitimate" bc if it were a legitimate rape my body would have natural defenses to ward of getting pregnant. At the risk of sounding like a 13 yr old, "Are you for real?!" Bizarre
Again, I am an avid supporter of adoption and I think that the education on adoptions and the data and personal experiences of healthy and positive adoptions need to be readily available to young girls and women facing such a decision. I would much rather a teenage pregnancy end with a beautiful picture of a baby being a gift to a wonderful family, than to have that young woman live with the decision she made to abort the baby--let alone that life which could have been. But for women who have been raped...we are talking about a completely different scenario in which this Missouri elected official is too pig headed to even comprehend. I believe they deserve to have all choices in the matter.
