I truly believe that one day...generations from now people will look back with shock at how we basically hand killers their weapons and say it is their right! I am not saying that hunters can no longer hunt. I personally HATE hunting! I don't understand wanting to kill another living thing. I don't have the stomach for it. But we need to get rid of the assault weapons...civilians should not be able to buy 4 guns in less than 2 months and all the additional clips or whatever you call them which allow for more bullets. Nobody has the right to buy guns to become the killers of many just bc of the 2nd Amendment which was passed during a time of a vastly different lifestyle from that which we live today!? I mean the man bought an assault riffle for the Colorado movie theatre
killing! Does someone really need that to protect their family and
home...or to hunt a deer? Can anyone enlighten me? Obviously our nation has an issue with people wanting to kill their neighbors! Obviously this right we are so proud of as Americans has not proven to be beneficial for those whom have lost their lives by a deranged, evil or mentally ill individual who practiced his right to bare arms. One day our children with scoff at how dumb people of our time were...much like we have begun to scoff how ridiculous people were to smoke while pregnant, or in public, or in front of children. We learned from that mistake. Are we too proud to learn from these tragic events? How many more kids and young people and deranged individuals have to prove that the retail market for guns is flawed by purchasing guns legally in order to kill? Where is Bill Clinton when you need him? I hope that Obama can get a backbone on this "touchy" subject and support the passing on a law that will better regulate gun sales. Whether it is not allowing for multiple assault weapons to be purchased by one individual over a certain time period...removing assault weapons from legal civilian purchase...whatever...I don't care! If only Romney wasn't under such grips from the staunch Republicans and could think for himself...maybe he would pass a law on arms like he did as Governor of Mass. But now he has completely changed and is all for the 2nd Amendment at it's fullest. Our only hope is Obama...but I doubt he will touch on the subject during an election year...I do not doubt that he would support a law on gun restriction. (And contrary to Republican bullet points, Obama has not done anything about gun restrictions or the 2nd Amendment--unfortunately).

How many more cases like this do we have to see on tv until we have to live through it ourselves? Or should we ask for our elected officials to help us help ourselves by asking for a bit more from gun owners...sellers...all involved? I am not asking for everyone with a gun (that they use to protect their families) be handed back or not allowed...BUT WHO NEEDS AN ASSAULT RIFLE other than a killer or someone on our countries various defense teams?!! It is pretty basic common sense, really.
